How does Micro Needling treatment work?

Micro Needling treatments use a Derma Roller – a hand held single-use medical instrument studded with very fine needles. This produces thousands of micro needle columns in the skin of around 0.1mm wide that rapidly close up, causing the skin to jump-start its natural healing process.

How many sessions of Micro Needling are required?

Treatment would typically comprise of 3 sessions with 6 – 8 weeks between each.

Does Micro Needling hurt?

Micro needling treatment is relatively pain-free and any potential discomfort is prevented by applying anaesthetic cream to the treatment area before using the Derma Roller.

How soon will I start seeing results?

Visible signs of regeneration are usually evident after around 4-6 weeks.

Are there any side-effects of Micro Needling?

Derma-roller treatment has been proven to be safe with no side-effects. Immediately after treatment, skin will appear flushed, feel warm and tighter than usual, this typically subsides after a couple of hours with only slight redness the next day. Post procedure skincare will be prescribed to help soothe, calm and protect the skin. After 3 days clients can return to their regular skin care routine.

Will Micro Needling leave any scars?

Micro needling treatment is often used to help scars heal, unsightly scarring is not an immediate threat.
