In 1992 he moved to England where he worked in general practice until 1994. He was then accepted as a registrar in the specialist discipline of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the University Of Stellenbosch. He qualified Cum laude in 1998. Dr Gluckman became the secretary of the South African Society of Periodontology in 1999. He also started working as a specialist Periodontist in a private practice in Cape Town where he continues to work today. He is also a part time consultant in the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Stellenbosch. Dr Gluckman has vast experience in the field of Dental Implants. |
He worked as a full time general dental practitioner from 1996 to 2000. In 2000, he was awarded MFGDP by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) (England) after which he worked as a Senior House Officer at the Newcastle upon Tyne Dental School. Having been awarded MFDS by the RCS (England) in 2002, he returned to work in a private practice in Beckenham, Kent until 2004 and returned to South Africa. There he specialised in Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the University of the Western Cape. He is currently a part time consultant at the University of the Western Cape in the department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology and in private practice for Periodontology, Implantology and Oral Medicine and has been serving on the executive committee for the Cape Society of Dental Implantology since 2005. |
