Rana qualified with a bachelor degree in dental surgery from Jordan in 2002. She worked in Jordan as a general dentist for a year then moved to the UK in 2003. Rana undertook her international qualifying exams and became fully registered at the general dental council in the UK.

She became a member of the faculty of dental surgery of the royal college of surgeons of England in 2004 following a year of training in London during which she also undertook a diploma in clinical dental sciences from the university of London. Following that, she joined the Eastman Dental Hospital and institute at UCL in 2004 and undertook three years of post graduate training in orthodontics.

Rana gained a Masters of science in orthodontics from the university of London in 2006 and later qualified with a membership in orthodontics from the royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007, allowing her to be registered as an orthodontic specialist with the General Dental Council.

Rana’s special interest lies in treating both children and adult patients using lingual braces (invisible braces fitted on the inside surface of the teeth) and is currently studying for her second Masters degree in Lingual orthodontics at the Medical hospital in Hanover, Germany.

She is a member of the British and European Orthodontic societies and the Blritish Lingual Orthodontic society.

She enjoys a myriad of outdoor sports including mountaineering, distance running, skiing and travelling to places off the beaten track.

Rana currently works on Mondays (10am- 7pm) and Saturdays (9:30am- 3pm) at Fulham Dental Care.
